Meet the Rebrief agents

3 min read

Rebrief is more than a charting tool. The long-term plan is a team of focused AI agents, each one taking a different slice of clinic busywork off your plate. This article walks through who's working for you today and what's on the way, so you know exactly what to expect.

Note: Some agents below are planned and not available yet. We've marked clearly what's live today versus what's coming, so you don't go looking for a feature that hasn't shipped.

What's live today

These agents are built into your workspace right now.

The Scribe

The Scribe is your ambient charting assistant during an appointment. While you talk through the visit, it listens and builds the clinical note, the tooth chart, and the perio chart for you in real time, so you can keep your attention on the patient instead of the keyboard.

You start it from the New Appointment button in the sidebar, and you'll see the Scribe's status there while it's listening. Everything it produces is yours to review and edit before you finalize.

Tip: The Scribe drafts; you decide. Always give the note a quick read-through and adjust anything before you sign off.

The Receptionist

The Receptionist is an AI voice agent that answers your clinic's phone for after-hours and overflow calls. It picks up, checks your live schedule, and helps callers find and book an open appointment time, useful when the front desk is closed or slammed.

You set it up and turn it on from the Receptionist page, where you enter your greeting and connection details. From there:

  • The Receptionist page keeps your schedule availability fresh, with a manual sync button and an optional automatic daily refresh.
  • The Calls page shows a log of recent calls, including how each one was handled, with the transcript and a short summary.

The Assistant

The Assistant lets you ask questions in plain language right inside Rebrief and get a written answer back. Your past conversations are saved as threads, so you can pick up where you left off.

What's on the roadmap

These agents are planned. They're part of the vision but not available yet, so there's nothing to turn on in your workspace today. We're sharing them so you know where Rebrief is headed.

  • Continuous patient monitoring — keeping an eye on your patient list and flagging logistical, clinical, or risk-related issues before they become problems.
  • Documentation support — helping capture thorough, defensible records after an appointment.
  • Literature and history lookup — answering clinical questions during the visit by searching current evidence and the patient's own history.
  • Broader communications — outbound recall reminders, campaigns, and filling last-minute cancellations.
  • Insurance — help with predeterminations, approvals, and claims.
  • Billing — revenue cycle tasks and statement runs.
  • Treatment-plan coding — suggesting procedure codes from the tooth and perio charts for you to approve.

What stays in your control

Across every agent, the principle is the same: the agent does the legwork, and a person reviews and approves the result. Nothing gets finalized in a patient's chart without you. As new agents become available, you'll see them appear in your workspace, and we'll let you know when they're ready.
