Supported practice-management systems

Rebrief connects to your existing practice-management system (PMS) so your charting and patient data stay in one place. This page lists the systems Rebrief works with today and the ones we're adding next.

How Rebrief connects

Most desktop PMSs connect through the Rebrief Bridge — a small companion app you install on the Windows computer where your PMS already runs. The Bridge sits alongside your PMS, reads the patient and schedule information Rebrief needs, and helps move finished work back into the chart. It signs in with your own Rebrief account, so it only ever touches data you're already allowed to see.

Cloud-based PMSs connect differently. Because they run in a web browser instead of on a local computer, Rebrief plans to link to them directly over a secure internet connection — no Bridge install required. Those connections are marked Coming soon below.

Note: The Bridge runs on Windows. You install it once on the operatory or front-desk PC that already has your PMS.

These systems work with Rebrief now, through the Bridge on Windows.

• Open Dental — The most complete integration. Rebrief reads patient and appointment details directly from your Open Dental database, and can also assist on screen for tasks that have to go through the PMS window.
• Dentrix — Connected through on-screen assistance. Rebrief works inside your Dentrix window to read your patients and schedule and bring that information into Rebrief.
• Eaglesoft — Connected through on-screen assistance, the same way as Dentrix.
• AbelDent — Connected through on-screen assistance. AbelDent is widely used in Canadian practices.

When you start an import, Rebrief automatically detects which supported PMS is open and brings in your patients and today's schedule. A typical import takes about 30 to 90 seconds.

Tip: Keep your PMS open, on screen, and not minimized while an import runs. With the on-screen integrations (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, AbelDent), you may see the mouse move and type on its own — leave your keyboard and mouse alone until it finishes, usually a minute or two.

Note: If more than one supported PMS is open at the same time, Rebrief asks which one to import from. Just pick the one you want.

These cloud-based systems are planned. They'll connect directly over the internet, so there's no Bridge to install.

Don't see your system?

If your PMS isn't listed here, Rebrief's charting and note-taking features still work on their own — the integration simply adds the convenience of reading and writing data alongside your PMS. We're expanding the list of supported systems over time, so check back as new connections ship.
